Description

The ZOME pendant lamp is composed of identical vermiform fluids – a sequence of dots that create a beautiful piece of atmospheric lighting when mounted or a spiritual object. ZOME is a hand assembled lamp and has a bionic structure – the more rhombuses there are in the first row, the more flowing and ductile the form will be. The 72 rhombuses of the Golden Ratio that form the base of the lattice for the lamp determine the flow and plasticity of the form. Many sacred buildings have a similar bionic structure. The lamp made of 1.5 mm aircraft plywood looks fragile, but its structure ensures a strong form. The plywood snakes are connected by aluminium rivets. Similar to the DUNE shelf the lamp is constructed in a very sustainable way – the elements can be cut next to each other without generating waste. Zome is one of the customer’s favourite lamps.
